First Home Buyers Grant
The First Home Buyer's Grant was implemented by the government in July 2000 to assist Australians in purchasing their own home.
A one off $7000 grant is currently available to any West Australian purchasing their first owner occupied property.
Homebuyers Centre can assist with the First Home Buyer's Grant application process and ensure that it is available to you at settlement.

To qualify for the West Australian first home buyers grant you must;

  • be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
  • never have owned a residential property in any State or Territory of Australia
  • never previously received a First Home Buyers Grant from any State or Territory of Australia
  • be 18 years of age or older
  • occupy the home as principal place of residence for a continuous period of at least 6 months within 12 months of the completion of the FHOG transaction.

The $7000 First Home Buyers Grant presents a great opportunity for West Australians to take the step towards owning their first home.
