The New Homes Guide – The West Australian
A feature blade wall with ornamental limestone cladding adds elegance to the front elevation of Homebuyers Centre’s newest cottage display, the Vibe, at Emerald Park in Wellard.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom home has a highly functional layout that makes excellent use of every square metre of floor space, and fits snugly on an 11.7m-wide rear-loaded cottage lot.
Sales and marketing manager Jared Stone said the Vibe had a similar design to the previous Homebuyers Centre display at Wellard, which sold so well that it was worth spreading. While the home was aimed at first-homebuyers, it also would appeal to downsizers and investors.
Mr Stone said the interior design team was also mindful of the company’s primary focus on affordability, with furniture and decorator items usually acquired from shops that catered for buyers on a tight budget, rather than expensive and exclusive furniture retailers.
The front-door opens to an entry space next to the open lounge room or home theatre, which has a versatile square layout and suitable proportions.
A door on the left opens to the main suite, which is boldly decorated for the display with deep lime featured walls.
It has a spacious sleeping area, deep walk-in robe brightened by the slim glass panel of the elevation, and neat ensuite with oversized shower. Three-door vanity with extended squareform benchtop, and separate toilet.
Beyond the lounge room, the open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is a functional space with great potential.
Big windows along the outside wall and a stacking door at the back bring plenty of natural light into every corner of this space and connect to a potential outdoor entertainment area. Mr Stone said the folding flyscreen used in the display was a new product.
The kitchen has a modified galley layout with parallel rows of cabinets.
The stainless-steel appliances are centred to one bench, against the wall, and flanked by the pantry and fridge recess.
The parallel bench houses the sink, with a breakfast bar on its outside edge, next to the dining area.
Two minor bedrooms open from a short hall to one side of the living zone and each has a single robe recess with shelf and rail.
Between these rooms, the laundry and bathroom have familiar layouts that make good use of available floor space.
The Vibe also has a double garage with sectional door at the rear, with a personal door near the glass stacker door from the family room, plus potential for a shopper’s access along the side boundary of the home and through the laundry door to the kitchen.
