Style on a Budget

Limestone render adds enduring appeal to the modern colonial elevation of Homebuyers Centre’s
Momentum display
at Settlers Hills, which is proving popular with first-homebuyers and
investors.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home incorporates elements of other best-selling
designs
by the builder, with updated design features and up-market fittings in the kitchen, main suite and bathrooms.
Sales and marketing manager Jared Stone said the main focus at Homebuyers Centre was to design and build homes that combined affordability with functionality – with desirable front elevations for enduring street appeal and maximum resale potential.
“We are catering for the first-homebuyer market, so affordability will always be particularly important,” Mr Stone said. “We try to give our homes a footprint that is as square as possible and create a layout that fits inside that shape, because that is going to keep it affordable for our clients.
“The
Momentum
has an elevation that was very popular on a previous
display
at Secret harbour and continues to be very popular today. Once you’ve got the right combination and you’ve got a hit, it’s worth repeating it.”
Inside, the layout is practical and versatile, with open-plan living areas, a separate theatre room or formal lounge, and bedrooms zoned to give parents and children privacy.
In the main living zone, a well-placed half wall divides the family room from the dining area and the optional games or alfresco area, effectively defining each space while retaining all the benefits of ope-plan design.
The central kitchen has parallel rows of cabinets, with the stainless-steel appliances, fridge recess and pantry against a wall and a parallel island bench for the double sink and a breakfast bar alongside the adjacent room.
The main suite, at the front, has a parent’s retreat in a central boxed area with two tall windows. Two ore slim windows frame the bay and others are included in the wall behind the bed. His-and-her walk-in robes flank a link to the ensuite, which has a neat vanity, shower and separate toilet.
Three minor bedrooms are in a wing to one side of the casual zone. Each has a single robe recess with shelf and rail. The laundry and bathroom are also in this wing. A version of this home, called
Aussie Alfresco Games
, can be built from $136,200.
