With a practical, open-plan living zone and a spacious, well-appointed main suite, the Capri display by Homebuyers Centre is targeted at first-homebuyers who want quality and style at a budget price.

The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home can be built for less than $173,000, yet has a floor plan designed to accommodate a range of first-homebuyers, from single occupiers and couples to families with growing children.

Sales and marketing manager Jared Stone said the Capri was an updated version of a home that had worked well for the builder in the past, with a practical and versatile layout and a price in reach of first-homebuyers.

The open-plan kitchen, living and dining area was one of the most popular features of the Capri, with visitors to the display responding positively to the scale of this zone and its connection to the alfresco area.

“The display version has a long and wide living area with the alfresco off the back corner, but buyers have the option of taking a little bit of floor space from the living room to make the alfresco area a bit longer if they prefer, at no extra cost,” Mr Stone said.

Features such as the robes and ensuite in the main suite were a clear indication that first-homebuyers need not compromise on quality or style when searching for an affordable home.

“Some people feel they must compromise on the ensuite and walk-in robe in the master suite when they are looking for their first home, and they end up being left with a small ensuite and very little robe space.

“In the Capri, the master suite has two walk-in robes and the ensuite is pretty impressive.”

The home also had an appealing front elevation, and had been chosen by a leading roof tile manufacturer to feature in an international advertising campaign.

“This is a good looking home with a proved layout and it also ticks all the right boxes in terms of functionality and affordability,” he said.

Outside, the home has subtle contemporary styling, with an uncluttered roof line, rendered walls, a feature wall in stacked brown face bricks and a stylish semi-translucent panelled door on the double carport.

A veranda shelters the front door, which is set at 45deg. and opens to a separate entry.

A screen wall on the right defines access points to the theatre rooms.

The main suite, on the left, has a parent’s retreat at the front of the sleeping area, below a corner window, plus vertical glazed panels behind the bed.

Two walk-in robes flank a link to the ensuite, which has a two-door vanity with extended squareform benchtop, outsized shower and separate toilet.

In the living zone, the kitchen has a modified galley layout with ample bench and storage space in two parallel rows of cabinets, stainless-steel cooking appliances and direct access from the carport.

Three minor bedrooms are in a wing to one side of the living and dining area, each with a single robe recess. The bathroom and laundry are also in this wing, positioned to separate each bedroom to give all occupants plenty of privacy.
