The New Homes Guide – The West Australian
Affordability, a functional layout and street appeal were among priorities for the design team behind the Indigo display by Homebuyers Centre, at South Yunderup.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home has a layout that feels familiar yet fresh and it’s front elevation incor0porates the latest design trends, including stacked face bricks on a feature wall and column, contemporary glazing bars on the windows, and the option of a semi-translucent garage door.
Sales and marketing manager Jared Stone said the Indigo was based on a couple of the builder’s most popular floor plans, with an efficient layout that maximised space.
“The efficiency of the floor plan and its streamlined footprint have kept this home very affordable. It has a nice, square layout that works really well and has proven very popular,” Mr Stone said.
Other features included the main suite, which had twin walk-in robes and a highly functional kitchen positioned to overlook surrounding rooms and a big alfresco area.
The design team had also focused on making the minor bedrooms as big as possible to accommodate the changing needs of children growing up.
A portico shades the central front door, which opens to an entry space separated from the theatre room by a boxed screen wall that doubles as a backdrop fro a big screen TV.
To the left, the main suite is positioned well away from the minor bedrooms to give its occupants maximum privacy.
A split-level corner window brightens the sleeping area, bringing natural light into an area between the two robes that link to the ensuite. The neat vanity unit with an extended top is tucked between an outsized shower and separate toilet.
Beyond the entry, more big windows brighten the main living zone where the central kitchen has a long island bench facing the family room and the adjacent dining area has a glazed sliding door to a long alfresco area in the back-right corner of the home.
Stainless-steel cooking appliances are centred on a bench parallel to the island bench, tucked between the pantry and fridge recess. The island bench houses the double sink and has a breakfast bar on its outside edge.
Minor bedrooms are in a separate wing to one side of the main living zone, near the bathroom and laundry. Each bedroom has a single robe recess with shelf and rail.
